My daughter is learning to be independent. When I give her breakfast, she will tell me, "Mama up, sit down". She means she needs to go up and sit down on her high chair. When she is already sitting down, she will then tell me... "Mama right here" which means I have to put the plate with food in front of her. After I put the plate and tells her careful it's hot, blow first... she will then point at the living room and tells me " go out ". She wants me out of the kitchen. She wants to eat without my help and to make sure of that, she wants me not near her.
Oh... how time flies by. She is a big girl and trying to be independent. Proof of her independence, when we last dined out at our favorite Chinese place, we ordered her favorite soup. And guess what? For the first time, she wants to eat without my help. She wants to eat alone.
