Candy Treats

Last Sunday, we went to the "No Tricks just Treats" event at The Shops of Grand River. This is the 3rd year that we attended a Halloween event at this location.  We skip the face painting and balloon making because the line was long.  We did the store to store trick or treating right away.  Andrea who was dressed in a bunny costume got these candies!  It was a lot!

Halloween Games

Halloween is a time where kids looked forward to. It is not just about the candies but all the halloween stuff that they can do. I myself is looking forward to Halloween too maybe because I have a toddler who I think will enjoy this Halloween more compared from the previous years. Activities like trick or treat, pumpkin patch visit, trunk decorating, and costume parties are what I like the most. For the kids, they like everything.

In time for Halloween, you can find scary games online to play. You can play exmortis online now. Exmortis is a popular trilogy of flash games created by Australian Ben Leffler. This is really a creepy game. I know some teenagers like to play this game as they said it is very exciting and scary at the same time. The word exmortis can simply be translated to "previous death" in English. The word alone seems too creepy for me. I guess because I am not fond of horror games nor horror movies. I guess I am a little too "sissy" for this genre.

Now, should I choose to play games that is perfect for halloween, I think I will play vampire games. Vampire fascinates me. Besides there are good and evil vampires. Vampire games are not necessarily violent as I found a game like dress up vampire, twilight fashion, vampire dress up and more. I have actually found a website called scaryclip that you can play 18 vampire games. It is a very fascinating place to play your vampire favorite games. The games you can find at scaryclip includes the following:
  • Dress Up Vampire
  • Shroud Vampire
  • Vampire Quiz
  • Twilight Fashion
  • Twilight Kiss Eclipse
  • Twilight Stars
  • Vampire Awakening
  • Vampire Hunter Ina, Vampire Hunter Ina 2, and Vampire Hunter Ina 3
  • Vampire Kissing
  • Kiss of Death
  • Vampire Love
  • Vampire Skills
  • Vampire Slay

If you want to play some halloween online games, just visit Scaryclip.

Great Halloween Memories

Guest post written by Billy James

This Halloween I was sitting in the living room quietly looking up some a hearing aids on http://www.hearingaidsbymiracleear.com, when I started hearing footsteps in the hallways of my apartment building. Every year I get a good amount of little ones that come by. The kids are always a joy to see—especially to see all of their creative costumes! I love seeing what’s popular every year.

Around nine or so, I got a knock from my grandson Jimmie, and I was absolutely thrilled to see him! It was a complete surprise, usually they tell me when they’re popping in. Anyway, this year he’s 5 years old, and this is the first year his mother felt brought him trick or treating. His mother dressed him up in a little devil costume, which I thought it was pretty funny, especially since he’s the exact opposite! But either way, his mother always tells me how mischievous Jimmie is starting to get, and I’m sure she put him in the custom for that reason. Gotta love Halloween!

Halloween with Backyardigans

We went to the mall once again for the second time and enjoy a two-day Halloween celebration. This time around, Andrea was dressed as a princess.

Andrea spent the Halloween with Backyardigans which she really love! She follow them wherever they go and often tells me "Come on mommy, let's follow them"

She also enjoyed playing at the toy stores.

Of course, after all the excitement, my princess got hungry so we ate at Wendy's!

Happy Halloween!

Halloween is an annual holiday observed on October 31, primarily in the United States, Canada, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.

Common Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, wearing costumes and attending costume parties, carving jack-o'-lanterns, ghost tours, bonfires, apple bobbing, visiting haunted attractions, committing pranks, telling ghost stories or other frightening tales, and watching horror films.

Costumes for All Hallow's Eve!

Guest post written by my buddy Hans Hale

Halloween is my favorite time of year! I love dressing up and finding ways that my husband and I can be creatively dressed as a dynamic duo. We plan for it almost all year long, and below is the account of our most recent outing to shop for this year's costume.

We weren't sure what we were going to go as this year. We heard about a new halloween costume store about 20 minutes away, so we set our home security alarm (www.securitychoice.com/) and we were off! About 20 minutes later, we arrived at the Mecca of all costume stores. They had everything! Bacon and Eggs, toothbrush and toothpaste, Barbie and Ken, M&Ms, nurse and doctor, priest and nun, and many celebrity couple costumes for a dynamic duo type idea. We carefully weighed our options and found a great deal on a costume - which I am still keeping a secret - but it was such a fun way to get out and about in the crisp fall weather and have some fun.

I highly recommend researching a costume store like this in your area, because you may be surprised with all they have to offer! Happy shopping and happy halloween!

Halloween is Getting Close

While I was shopping last weekend, I noticed that halloween costumes are already displayed in different stores. I was actually tempted to check them out. There were plenty of kids costumes as well as adult halloween costumes. Last year, I dressed up as a witch while my daughter Andrea was dressed up as midnight bat. This year, I haven't decided what I wanna be. I was thinking of something sexy for this year. As for Andrea she seems to be fascinated with being a princess or something because of the crown. She is also fascinated with the magic wand so at least I have some idea what she likes to be on Halloween. As for me, well I still have a month to decide. One thing is for sure, I will dressed up for the occasion.
