Happy Birthday Tiyo

Today, my little brother who is no longer little is celebrating his 29th Birthday!  Yes, I can't believe he is already 29.  I always remember him as the little one.

Even when he was in college, he was still a little brother to me.  I know he is not the little brother anymore because he has established himself already and has a family of his own too but I guess the memories of him being my little brother will always remain.

Happy 29th Birthday Tiyo.  We love you and we pray that all your wish will come true.

Planning a Birthday Party for my Daughter

My daughter will be celebrating her 5th birthday on December. As early as this time, I am doing the preparations. You might ask why so early? Simply because I don't have a lot of extra money to do so. Planning it early and buying the things we need one by one will be easier. It will not hurt our budget if we buy little things one at a time.

She requested to have a party with balloons, decorations and pinata and some party games which will be held at our garage. She is excited at how she will help me decorate. She requested one thing though, she wants a present inside a box which is wrapped in a gift wrapper and with a bow on it. I joked her that I will put foods and fruits inside the box. She told me that food is not allowed inside the box - only toys.

So, I plan to buy her some educational toys as her present for her birthday. I am saving for that too. I keep on wishing that I can find some online opportunities that will give me some extra cash. Recently, online opportunities are scarce but I kept my hopes up.

Birthday Cake

This was hubby's simple birthday tradition. For the past 2 years, Andrea and I always bake him a German chocolate cake. Let him do the traditional blowing of the candle, and opening gift. This is just very simple but it's a family thing for us.

Birthday Girl

Andrea and I decorated our little place for her birthday. It was her wish to decorate for her birthday. She helped me put all those up. We also decorated her room.

My little girl celebrated her birthday last Saturday. She is now 4 years old. It is amazing how time flies. My little girl doesn't want to be called baby anymore as she is already a big girl.

The party was fun for both the kids and the moms. My friends came over to party with us. Needless to say, having kids to party with, Andrea's room was a MESS but they all had fun!

There were plenty of foods that were served and plenty of gifts to open... it was indeed a successful party!

November Birthdays

November is a month with many birthdays in our family. I am glad I am not a November child because there are too many people close to my heart that celebrates their birthday.

My dad's birthday is November 3. His birthday falls after two days of no work because of All Saints and All Souls Day. When we were still in Philippines, we always have a get together for Dad's birthday.

It's Dad's Special Day

My dad is not the perfect father but he is the best. I love him. He has his faults but I know he tried to be the best father that he can be.

I am very close to my dad that is why it is seldom that he will talk to me on the phone. He can't bear talking to me because he always end up crying when we talked in the phone. I spoiled my dad and he spoils me too.

I wish I can surprise him on his birthday by seeing him but I can't. But I should be happy because in few months I will be home with them because we will have our vacation. I am excited about the fact that I can spend longer days with them this time.

As my dad celebrates his birthday, I want to wish him good health and more happy years. I know he is happy of what little things he is enjoying now as the fruits of their labor. I just wish that Dad will let us petition him even for just a few months visit here in the USA.

Dad may not be reading this post but my sisters will so please tell dad to come here for a visit.

14 years....

We were good friends in college. Our paths went in different ways because we were young and we both seek greener pastures. I have been looking for her and so does she. We lost touch after we graduated college and that was 1997. Yes that was long time ago! 14 years but still we remain friends in our hearts. Our memories were enough to last us a long time.

I am glad she found me in Facebook. We are communicating again. What a great timing as we reconnected few days before her birthday.

To my good friend, Susan, happy birthday! I am happy to keep in touch with you again. Thank you for all you have done for me when I was young. I hope that one day we will meet again.

Today, my little niece Janna Steffi is celebrating her 2nd birthday. They will have a little birthday party for her in their new home.

I haven't seen Janna in person yet because the last time we came home she was still in her mom's womb.

I can't wait to see her when we come home next year.

Something New

Yesterday was my Mother's birthday. I wish I was there to celebrate it with her but due to distance, it was not possible. I would have love to surprise my Mom with a Basket Chocolate Fruit Gift delivered to her on her birthday but Mom lives in a place where delivery area is not covered. I am just glad that she got the money we sent for her. I told her to buy something special for herself. Maybe next year I will arrange something or somebody to deliver a gift basket for her on her birthday. I am sure that this idea will be something new for my Mom.
