Mourning...

Today my whole family (in the Philippines) and the people of many parishes is mourning the loss of a good priest. Rev. Fr. Arnold Goder passed away today. He had a fatal motorcycle accident early morning after "Simbang Gabi". The doctors said he was DOA.

Fr RR Goder was a good friend to our family. We got to know him way back when he was assigned as the parish priest of Hanopol. We have shared many special moments with him. He will surely be missed!

Fr RR we thank you for the wonderful memories that you and my family shared. Please continue praying for us and wherever you are, we hope your soul may rest in peace!

Ampatuan Massacre (Nov 23, 2009)

Ampatuan Massacre shocks the Filipino populace and the people around the world. It was such a horrible incident. I feel very sad for the victims and I am mad at Philippine politics.

Killing always happens during Philippine election. I don't think political killings will ever stop.

It is just very sad that there were many innocent people who were victims of the massacre. At least 30 journalists and their staff perished in the Nov. 23 massacre that killed 27 other civilians in the deadliest single attack on the press in the world.

A general view of the shallow grave where the bodies of victims of massacre were found in Ampatuan town, Maguindanao province, on November 24. Police have ended a grisly search for corpses and mass graves from the election-linked massacre, with the known death toll standing at 57.

Detailed map showing where at least 57 people were ambushed and murdered in the southern Philippines. A Philippine politician was charged with murder after authorities accused him of ordering soldiers, police and other gunmen to kill at least 57 defenceless people in an organised slaughter.

Who Wants To Go with Us?

I found a new resort that will be a great place for our vacation. I have been looking around some blogs when I saw the Bellarocca Island Resort and Spa. The beauty of the resort is just so captivating. I feel in love with the place the first time I saw it. Dave and I wants to go there. It will be a great get-away or a great honeymoon place..... The price of the resort is not really bad. It is even cheaper than our favorite Bohol Beach Club.

Here's the place that I am sure you can't resist.....
Would you believe that this place can be found in Philippines? This is the Bellarocca Island Resort and Spa in Marinduque, Philippines. The place is very interesting and it looks like some place in Greece. This place can be reach by a 75-minute chartered flight from Manila and followed by a 30 minutes boat ride.

This will be one of our places to go when we will visit Philippines again. Wanna go with us? For more photos of this resort please check here and tell me why you won't go with us!

Noynoy Aquino for President?

Noynoy Aquino, son of the late Sen. Benigno Aquino and late former President Cory Aquino has announced that he will run for President this coming May 2010 Philippine Elections.

Few known political figures gave way to Noynoy. Sen. Mar Roxas, Sen. Manny Villar and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan will withdrew from the race in order to give way to Noynoy. For myself, that is a classy move.

I am not into Philippine politics and frankly speaking I am not a registered voter. I always thought that whoever will lead the nation... nothing will change.... Philippine politics is dirty and corrupt! It will take decades or centuries to clean it up (if somebody wants to do it... which I doubt).

May 2010 election may be far but I am sure every candidates are campaigning now. I just hope that this time around there will be less blood.

Will Noynoy be a good president? Maybe... Perhaps... Who knows....
