Test for Mold

Mold are fungi that can be found both indoors and outdoors. It grows best in warm, damp, and humid conditions, and spread and reproduce by making spores. Of course, molds are unwelcome visitors especially in the indoor environment. They can cause structural damage to your place like decomposing your wall, drywall, carpets and other organic building materials. Besides causing structural damage, it can also be a health hazard. Mold causes health symptoms by producing allergens, toxic substances (mycotoxins), or by causing infections.

Mold are found in virtually every environment and can be detected all year round in both indoors and outdoors. Its growth is encouraged by warm and humid conditions. There are mold test kits that you can buy. For sensitive individuals who are allergy to molds, be sure to have your place test for mold and avoid places that are shady and also try to avoid damp areas. Indoor molds are most probably found in your shower and basement areas so try avoiding them too.

I know that mold has become a major worry, prevent molds from invading your place by controlling the moisture and always do a mold test. During humid months, use an air conditioner or dehumidifier. Always clean your bathroom with mold killing products. Provide your homes with adequate ventilation which includes exhaust fans.
