Walgreens Offers Affordable Membership for its Prescription Savings Club

Tricare is the health and prescription drug program for America ’s military service men and women and Tricare has been a client with Express Scripts. But now that Walgreens is no longer part of the pharmacy provider network of Express Scripts, and the issue between Walgreens and Express Scripts many customers became upset. Walgreens offered a guarantee that their prices would match or beat the average cost of prescription in the Tricare network. This was done to prevent the country’s military personnel being caught in the middle. But still, it was rejected by Express Scripts, thus the discontinuation of the contract. Aside from the military personnel, many customers who bear the name of Express Scripts in their prescription insurance plans are affected.

 

However, Walgreens is doing every thing they can to minimize the inconvenience. They are offering a special discount on annual membership for its Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens. For this month, an individual can join for only $5 and $10 for family membership. Being a member gives you benefits like discounts on more than 8000 brand-name and generic medications.
